A dial up account is a means to allow your PC to connect to the Internet via your telephone line, using a modem. Your modem dials a number which will connect you to another computer, called a server, allowing you to access the Internet. GatleyNet uses a Dial Up number which is charged to you via your phone company at the local call rate. When you sign up for an account (no requests for money), you will have the option to have your PC automatically configured to use GatleyNet. For anyone who wishes to do this manually, we have created a generic dialup account.
