a parent of children who have regularly attended Gatley After
School Cub located at Gatley Hill House,
I was very surprised to receive a letter from the organisers
informing me that the facility would not be available next term.
This apparently is due to the fact that they have been having
problems with "local youths". I personally was unaware of this
problem, and am appalled that once again a minority of people
are causing the closure of a valuable local service. As the
new term is due to start next week this is going to cause untold
problems for many working parents in the area as well as deprive
the children concerned of a stimulating and friendly environment
which the enjoyed greatly.
