Local councillors have used discretionary funds to acquire a permanent
Christmas tree for Gatley.

The tree is located on Gatley Green and will be lit each Christmas
season from now on.

Local councillor Paul Carter has said that the tree "will help brighten the village during the festive season, and encourage local residents to support the local shopkeepers during this busy time of the year."
