NEW
LANDMARK FOR GATLEY
One2One, the mobile phone company wants to erect
an unsightly mast in the village - much to the opposition
of the local residents.
At it's meeting on 4 December, Stockport Council's Planning
Committee voted in favour allowing the mast to be erected.
It's now up to the people of Gatley to say NO.

Traffic
Troubles
Junction
2 of the M60 will be closed for 4 weeks between January
and Macrh next year.
The most chaos will be caused when both sides of junction
3 are closed for one weekend and a night.
It's expected that Gatley Village will shoulder the burden
as drivers look for an alternative route.

Guests Help
Festival to Success
20 rotund guests were the centre of attention at The Gothic
pub in Gatley for their first beer festival.
The barrels of guest ales were stacked up in front of the
bar of the Cains Brewery pub, with a range of tempting tipples
- from light summer brews to full bodied bitters.
The Gothic pub has already had great success this year.
As well as gaining the Cask Manqué "Award for
serving the perfect pint" they have received the CAMRA
award for "Pub of the Month".
